CAVALIER, N.D. (AP) — Authorities were searching for a prisoner who they said ran off while being led back to jail from a bond reduction hearing Thursday.
The inmate was identified as 34-year-old Glenn Stegman of Walhalla.
Pembina County Chief Deputy Sheriff Jeff Osvold said Stegman was wearing jail-issued clothing and was handcuffed.
Osvold told the Grand Forks Herald that Stegman is not considered a danger to the public but he is known to resist law enforcement officers.
