Highway 13 closed for reconstruction
Effective immediately, the North Dakota Department of Transportation and the North Dakota Highway Patrol have closed N.D. Highway 13 from Wishek to Lehr due to a reconstruction/grading project and the wet conditions that have caused a muddy road surface with deep wheel ruts making it impassable. The roadway will be closed until further notice.

Highway 13 from Wishek to Lehr due to a reconstruction/grading project and the wet conditions that have caused a muddy road surface with deep wheel ruts making it impassable. The roadway will be closed until further notice.
Local traffic only will be allowed from Wishek east (approximately five miles) to 45th Avenue Southeast. No traffic will be allowed from 45th Avenue Southeast east to Lehr. Motorists need to take an alternate route.
Alternative routes:
* Eastbound traffic: Head south on N.D. 3 at Wishek. Turn east on N.D. 3 to Ashley. Continue east on N.D. 11 to N.D. 56. Turn north on N.D. 56 to N.D. 13 at Kulm.
* Westbound traffic: Head south on N.D. 56 at Kulm to N.D. 11. Turn west on N.D. 11 to N.D. 3 at Ashley. Continue west on N.D. 3 at Ashley. Turn north on N.D. 3 to Wishek.
