BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota State Historical Society is taking part in a national program called Blue Star Museums that provides free admission to active-duty military personnel.

All active-duty personnel and up to five of their immediate family members will get free admission to the five state historic sites that usually charge admission, from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Museum stores statewide also will offer them a 10 percent discount on all items.

The five sites are the Ronald Reagan Minuteman Missile Historic Site near Cooperstown, the Chateau de Mores site in Medora, Fort Buford near Williston, Fort Totten near Devils Lake and Fort Abercrombie near Fargo.

There also will be free admission for soldiers at the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center near Williston and the observation tower at the Pembina State Museum.
