Man appears in federal court on weapons charge
A man with misdemeanor assault convictions in North Dakota has been arrested on an illegal weapons charge.
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A man with misdemeanor assault convictions in North Dakota has been arrested on an illegal weapons charge.
Timothy Burnside is facing a federal charge of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Authorities accuse the 48-year-old Burnside of possessing eight guns and assorted ammunition.
Court documents show that Burnside was convicted of three separate domestic violence charges in Cass County between February 2007 and May 2008.
Documents show that the weapons and ammunition were seized at a residence in Hawley, Minn., on April 1.
