Judge sentences ND man to prison on weapons charge

A North Dakota man has been sentenced to more than three years in prison on an illegal weapons charge.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota man has been sentenced to more than three years in prison on an illegal weapons charge.

Joshua Tritchler had pleaded guilty earlier to possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon. Authorities say Tritchler had a pistol and five rounds of ammunition.

Court documents show that Tritchler had six previous felony convictions on his record.

U.S. District Judge Ralph Erickson sentenced Tritchler to 37 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
