Man arrested for DUI after crash

A Jamestown man was arrested for driving under influence of intoxicating liquor May 28 after he struck a residence, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

A Jamestown man was arrested for driving under influence of intoxicating liquor May 28 after he struck a residence, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Jared Fritz, 22, 402 Third Ave. N.E., was driving a 1998 Ford east on Third Street Southwest near the 500 block just before midnight, police said. He accelerated, running off to the right of the roadway. Fritz struck the north side of the residence. He refused medical transport.

The house sustained $5,000 in damage while the Ford sustained $3,000 in damage.

Fritz was wearing a seat belt.
