Outdoor Notes:

Usable Devils Lake ramps: Pelican Lake, 6-Mile Bay (Schwab), Creel Bay (Lakewood), and Spirit Lake Casino. Grahams Island State Park access is day-to-day and subject to change.

Missouri River: Several roads around Garrison Dam are closed for safety concerns, although some public areas remain open. Missouri River ramps closed from the tailrace down to Maclean Bottoms. No wake zone in effect from about 1,000 feet south of the Steckel Landing down to MacLean Bottoms and on the Heart River to N.D. Highway 6.

Tournaments:

Saturday: Devils Lake, East Bay.

June 10: Devils Lake, Woodland Resort.

June 11 & 12: Devils Lake, Spirit Lake Casino; Lake Ashtabula.

Fishing:

Devils Lake elevation, June 1: 1,454.27 feet above mean sea level (msl).

Stump Lake elevation, June 1: 1,454.04 msl.

Lake Sakakawea elevation, June 1: 1,853.3 msl; 100,000 cubic feet per second average (CFS) Garrison Dam daily releases.

Jamestown Reservoir, Dan’s Sooper Stop, Jamestown: A few more anglers on the water with somewhat improving walleye success. Access remains limited.

Jamestown Reservoir, Pioneer Bait Shop, Jamestown: Fair but spotty and inconsistent walleye success. Most activity is around the Buchanan Bridge. Dry Lake is the most consistent small area lake.

Pipestem Reservoir, Dan’s Sooper Stop, Jamestown: Access remains limited with few reports.

Pipestem Reservoir, Pioneer Bait Shop, Jamestown: Limited activity with continued high water.

Spiritwood Lake, Dan’s Sooper Stop, Jamestown: Continued smallmouth bass success.

Spiritwood Lake, Pioneer Bait Shop, Jamestown: Try a morning bite for smallmouth bass.

North Dakota river levels and streamflow, June 1:

Baldhill Creek, Dazey gauge: Creek stage, 7.44 feet; streamflow, 132 CFS.

James River, Jamestown gauge: River stage, 11.6 feet; streamflow, 1,830 CFS.

James River, Grace City gauge: Streamflow, 361 CFS.

Pipestem Creek, Pingree gauge: Creek stage, 6.25 feet; streamflow, 135 CFS.

Red River, Fargo gauge: River stage, 19.78 feet.

Sheyenne River, Cooperstown gauge: River stage, 11.82 feet; streamflow, 718 CFS.

Sheyenne River, Valley City gauge: Streamflow, 971 CFS.
