Yard of the Week program begins here

The Yard of the Week program started this week in Jamestown.

The first recipient is the Mildred Reisnour yard, 330 11th Ave. N.E. The program, sponsored by the Jamestown Chamber of Commerce, recognizes those who help beautify the community and take pride in their yard’s appearance. The program runs from June 6-Oct. 3.

Yards will be selected each week from nominations received. Yards must be visible from the street. To nominate a yard for Yard of the Week:

* Email a nomination to the chamber at chamber@jamestownchamber. com

* Visit the chamber’s website at www.james town chamber.com

* Personally visit or write the chamber (120 Second St. S.E.)

* Enter the nomination at the drop box at the White Drug Garden Center (410 10th St. S.E.), Don’s Garden Center (1602 Business Loop E.) or Country Gardens Floral/Greenhouse (106 Business Loop W.)

All single family residences within Jamestown are eligible for the program.
