Fargo man sentenced in parking ramp assault

A Fargo man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexually assaulting and choking a woman at a downtown parking ramp last August.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A Fargo man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexually assaulting and choking a woman at a downtown parking ramp last August.

The Forum newspaper reports that 21-year-old Richard Perry of Fargo pleaded guilty in February to attacking the Sanford Medical Center employee.

Authorities say Perry attacked the woman from behind, knocked both of them down a stairwell, then pinned the woman by her neck and fondled her.
