Bismarck man accused of biting daughter, 6

A Bismarck man accused of biting his 6-year-old daughter in the face while in Minto has pleaded not guilty.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A Bismarck man accused of biting his 6-year-old daughter in the face while in Minto has pleaded not guilty.

The Grand Forks Herald reports that Kerry Bittner pleaded not guilty Monday to felony child abuse in Northeast District Court in Walsh County.

Court documents say Bittner bit his daughter on the cheek on March 13, leaving a bruise. A call to Bittner's attorney was not returned.

A three-day trial is slated to begin on Aug. 3.
