Thomas Judd

Thomas Judd, 64, Fargo, N.D., died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at the Veterans Affairs Hospital, Fargo.

Mr. Judd was born on July 22, 1946, in Jamestown, the adopted son of Eugene and Myrtle (Hill) Theilen. The family moved while he was in elementary school. He graduated from high school at Bismarck, N.D. He joined the U.S. Navy and served from 1963 to 1967. He married Karen Brownlee on May 24, 1968, at Holy Cross, Lidgerwood, N.D. He worked at Acme Welding Supply/Praxair from 1968 to 1991. He retired in 2007 from GPK due to his health. He enjoyed airplanes, trains, cars, computers and woodwork.

He is survived by his wife; parents; a son, Tim (Nicole); a daughter, Cyndi (Shawn) Berg; a stepmother-in-law, Florence Brownlee; a brother, Bruce (Carol); three sisters, Sarah Jeanette (Jon) Herman, Carol (Larry) Frye and Cathy (Robert) Grabinger; two brothers-in-law, Curt Brownlee and Ray (Connie) Heley Sr.; a sister-in-law, Jewel Brownlee; and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Johann Theilen; three brothers-in-law, Dennis Brownlee, DuWayne Brownlee and Barry Barker; a sister-in-law, Lois Heley.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.

Visitation: one hour before the service at the funeral home.
