ND fisheries officials conducting crappie study

The North Dakota Game and Fish Department says 1,300 adult crappie have been tagged and released at the Pipestem Reservoir near Jamestown as part of a study.

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Game and Fish Department says 1,300 adult crappie have been tagged and released at the Pipestem Reservoir near Jamestown as part of a study.

The agency says the study will help determine crappie population and angler success.

The study is slated to run through the winter.

Anglers who turn in a tagged fish will be told where and when the fish was tagged, and its age and sex.
