Great American Backyard Campout June 25 at Cross Ranch State Park

Cross Ranch State Park and The River Peoples Visitor Center remain open this summer despite the main campground being closed due to flooding. Sanger campground, just south of the park’s main entrance does have electrical campsites available.

Cross Ranch will continue to offer programs once a month, all summer long. On June 25, the park celebrates the Great American Backyard Campout. Staff will be talking about the basics of camping for anyone that is new to camping or is interested in camping. There will also be a campfire cooking demonstration with food to eat and recipes to share. So bring a fork and join the Cross Ranch State Park staff at 2 p.m., outside of the visitor’s center.
