Finally, leaders from several area churches will compete in the Faster Pastor Walk. Competitors will include Nathan Sather from St. Catherine’s, Valley City, N.D., Calli Stout of The Salvation Army, Jamestown, and the Rev. Joe Barrett from St. James Basilica, Jamestown.
After all the events, a freewill offering lunch will be served by the Jamestown Knights of Columbus with hamburgers and hotdogs. During the meal, awards will be given out to the racers and live Christian music will be performed.
Music ministry groups interested in performing should email faithformation@csicable.net.
In the afternoon, there will be a 1/4-mile children’s race and other children’s games. There will be air games, sack races, three-legged races and other games. Some games will be for children only while others will be for children and their parents.
Youth groups can raise money for their missions and activities during the day’s activities. They can do this by collecting sponsors for each mile walked or by raising money for their pastors in the Faster Pastor Walk. Some groups donate a percentage of their funds to larger organizations.
