An oven fire sent one Jamestown woman to the hospital Tuesday evening, according to Gordie Christianson, battalion chief of the Jamestown Fire Department.
The fire happened around 7:30 p.m. at 208 Fourth Ave. S.E.
It was extinguished when firefighters arrived at the scene. In all 25 firefighters were there along with three trucks.
The fire occurred when the oven was in the self-cleaning mode.
Crews exhausted the smoke from the house. There was no damage, Christianson said.
The woman, whose name has not immediately released, was transported to Jamestown Hospital. Christianson was unaware of her condition.
