Sortlands to mark 50th anniversary
Duane and Ellrene Sortland, Valley City, N.D., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at the Dacotah Pavilion in Chautauqua Park, Valley City. The event will be hosted by their children; no gifts are requested.

Duane Sortland and Ellrene Berntson were married June 24, 1961, at First Lutheran Church (now Faith Lutheran Church) in Valley City.
They have three sons, Kevin (Jennifer) and Kent (Jeanne), both Jamestown, and Brad (Krissy Koval), Devils Lake, N.D.; and seven grandchildren.
