Dean to perform surgery at JRMC
Jamestown Hospital recently entered into an agreement with Dr. Michael Dean, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. “Bringing an orthopedic surgeon will be a major enhancement to patient care. In addition, national data indicates that our economy will see an infusion of $2.3 million from inpatient and outpatient services. Clearly, this is a win-win for everyone,” said hospital CEO Marty Richman.

Dean will be relocating in October to Jamestown from Michigan, where he has been practicing for 20 years. Dean is a graduate of Wayne State Medical University, Detroit, Mich., and did his residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. He holds a master’s degree in orthopedic research from Mayo Medical School. He specializes in total joint replacement (hip, knee, and shoulder), knee arthroscopy and fracture repair.
