Conlon, Endres win ‘Horn’ run

Katie Conlon, Madey Hornung and Maggie Conlon placed 1-2-3 at the “Around the Horn” road race, part of Woodworth’s Centennial Celebration on Saturday.

The Conlons, who are sisters, and Hornung, their cousin, crossed 1-2-3, with Katie Conlon winning in a time of 22:43. Hornung’s 22:23 was second, and Maggie Conlon, who now lives in Seattle, was third (24:04).

Ann Endres, an eighth-grader from Carrington, was fourth in a time of 25:38. Woodworth’s Cami Dixon was fifth in a time of 27:38.

Greg Andres, the father of Ann Endres, won the men’s in a time of 23:28.

Andrew Hornung, Madey’s brother and cousins to the Conlon sisters, earned runner-up honors. The seventh-grader completed the 3.4 race in 25:02.

Patrick Langehaug of Bottineau was third, while Brendan Wick and Ray Munson rounded out the top five.

Frank Conlon, Katie and Maggie’s dad, was sixth.

The race route followed a loop that circles Woodworth, and is known as “the Horn.” The race featured 138 total entrants.
