Mosquito sraying scheduled for tonight in Jamestown

The Jamestown Vector Control office will conduct city-wide spraying for mosquitoes tonight, weather permitting. Spraying will begin at about 8:30 p.m. and conclude at about 6 a.m.

The Jamestown Vector Control office will conduct city-wide spraying for mosquitoes tonight, weather permitting. Spraying will begin at about 8:30 p.m. and conclude at about 6 a.m.

Parents are urged to keep children out of the streets and alleys while spray is being applied. Motorists should also avoid following the spray equipment too closely.

In addition residents can gain additional mosquito control by dumping any item that holds water such as bird baths and wading pools and refilling them with fresh water at least once a week. Residents can also spray backyard areas to provide more control.
