BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission is issuing nearly $2.3 million in grants to airports in the state.
Officials say the grants are aimed at airport infrastructure projects such as runway reconstructions that improve safety and efficiency. The grants are funded primarily through taxes on aviation fuel and aircraft sales.
About $1 million in grants is going to general aviation airports. About $1.3 million is going to airports used by air carriers.
