UND opens new pathology building

The University of North Dakota’s medical school has opened a new clinical practice facility for its pathology department.

GRAND FORKS (AP) — The University of North Dakota’s medical school has opened a new clinical practice facility for its pathology department.

The Grand Forks school announced the opening Wednesday in a press release. The new facility will allow larger daily groups of students. It will also have space to perform autopsies that are now done at area hospitals.

The facility replaces the pathology department’s space at Altru Hospital.

The school credits former U.S. Sen. Byron Dorgan for getting a federal grant to pay for the project.
