DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — A Dickinson man charged with attempted murder for allegedly stabbing his estranged girlfriend with a pocket knife has pleaded not guilty.
The Dickinson Press reports that Police Detective Kylan Klauzer said in court on Monday that 19-year-old Donald Young told authorities the stabbing in May was accidental. Stark County Assistant State's Attorney Jim Hope disputed that.
Young is accused of stabbing and hitting his girlfriend, hitting her 16-year-old friend in the face and firing a rifle twice.
