Friday
— 5-8 p.m., steak and shrimp night at Country Cafe
Saturday
— 10:30 a.m., 3Kwalk/5Krun, registration is at 9:30 a.m. at the school. There is a $15 registration fee and a T-shirt for all participants
— 2 p.m., closest to the pin golf contest, hitting will be from the south side of the walking bridge out to the island. Half of the proceeds will be awarded back in prizes. Balls and clubs are provided or participants can bring their own.
— 5-7 p.m., American Legion Post #17 pork loin supper at Legion Hall. Admission is a freewill donation.
— 7:15 p.m., bingo will be at the Legion Hall.
— 9 p.m.-1 a.m., a street dance with Two Days Notice will be on Main Street.
Sunday
— 9 a.m., St. Paul’s Lutheran Church
— 11 a.m., St. Elizabeth’s Church in the Park
— noon, community potluck picnic at the park, meat, buns and utensils will be provided.
— 1 p.m., survivors race $20 registration fee per team of four. Events include swimming, canoeing, biking and running.
The Sykeston Community Club, Fire Department, American Legion, Preservation Sykeston, and Park Board are the sponsors for these events and proceeds will go to help fund these non-profit organizations and also go toward maintenance of Cafe. For more information, contact Cindy Tweed at 701-652-5201
