No members of the public showed up at a forum the Jamestown School Board held Thursday night to discuss increased revenues from the district mill levies.
Administrators are recommending to the board to keep the 161.4 mills amount the district has.
The meeting was held because a new bill requires governing bodies to invite the public to voice their concerns about increased revenues from mill levies.
The taxable evaluation in Jamestown has increased and as a result more is paid in taxes.
The administrators’ request to keep the current 161.4 mills will be brought up at the next School Board meeting at 5:15 Monday, in the Thompson Community Room at Jamestown Middle School.
