Garden Tour attendence down

About 240 people attended the annual Garden Tour sponsored by the American Association University of Woman. AAUW member Kelly Krein said people on the tour registered from 17 communities around the area as well as three other states and a country in Africa. She said attendance was down and that weather was the reason.

About 240 people attended the annual Garden Tour sponsored by the American Association University of Woman. AAUW member Kelly Krein said people on the tour registered from 17 communities around the area as well as three other states and a country in Africa. She said attendance was down and that weather was the reason.

“We were still pleased with the turnout and people seemed to enjoy the tour and the reception at Kitchen Solvers,” she said.

Proceeds from the event continue to support the AAUW Educational Foundation which provides fellowships and research grants to women (more than $2 million a year) and also to the AAUW Endowment at Jamestown College which provides two scholarships for older than average women students.
