A Streeter, N.D., man was arrested Thursday for failure to register as a sex offender, according to the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department.

Sgt. Jason Falk said Paul Allen Kilchesky, 37, originally of Hackensack, Minn., has a previous sex offender conviction from when he lived in Minnesota. Falk would not release additional information because Kilchesky was a juvenile when the offense allegedly occurred.

Kilchesky, who had lived in Streeter for more than a year, was convicted of failing to register as a sex offender in Minnesota as well, Falk said.

Kilchesky is in custody at the Stutsman County Corrections Center.

Failure to register as a sex offender is a Class C felony, punishable by up to $5,000 and five years in jail.
