Wishek hangs on to beat Oakes
Wishek bounced back and kept its season alive. The top-seeded Locals defeated Oakes 4-3 in a loser-out game at the Section 2 American Legion baseball tournament in Ellendale on Thursday. Wishek’s Kelsey Larson went 1-for-4 with 2 RBIs, while Chance Kurle and Levi Roemmich each had a double. Danny Sayler went 2-for-3.

Larson also earned the win on the hill after going six innings before being replaced by Nolan Meidinger, who earned the save, in the seventh.
Edgeley knocked out Ellendale with an 8-4 victory and Lisbon punched its ticket to the championship with a 15-5 win over LaMoure.
