Rural Valley City bar challenges city's land grab attempt

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) — Owners of a bar south of Valley City are challenging an annexation attempt by the city.

The Valley City Times-Records reports that owners of The Ram Bar filed an appeal last month. The city filed a motion to dismiss the case but a judge denied it last week.

Bay owners say customers who frequent the watering hole for its 2 a.m. closing time will no longer do so if the bar is within city limits.
