FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Officials say heavy rain this spring and summer is slowing road construction in the Fargo area.

The Forum reports that the city has received 11 inches of rain since May 1.

Area officials say work is progressing on major projects but there have been obstacles due to the wet conditions.

City traffic engineer Jeremy Gordon says drivers should plan ahead, be patient and allow for possible delays as projects continue.
