Darold Kracht

Darold Edward Kracht, 68, Jamestown, ND, formerly of Kensal, ND, died Thursday, July 28, 2011 at his home in Jamestown.

Darold was born February 2, 1943 at Jamestown Hospital, the son of Bertel and Marie (Wulff) Kracht. He grew up and graduated from Kensal High School in 1961. On October 2, 1964, Darold married Theresa Hoggarth. They farmed in the Kensal area until Darold’s retirement in 1990. He also drove truck for Mayer Truck Line.

Darold enjoyed hunting, ice fishing and his family.

Darold is survived by his wife, Theresa, of Jamestown; four daughters, Kimberly (Joel) Beiswenger, Wadena, MN, Christina (Jim Fixari) Kracht, Northglenn, CO, Lisa (Chris) Mack, Williston, ND and RaeAnn Kracht, Jamestown; father, Bert Kracht, Kensal, ND; sister, Karen (Bernard) Hoggarth, Grand Forks, ND; and mother-in-law, Mathilda Blaskowski, Jamestown. Darold was proud to be a grandfather and is survived by 8 grandchildren, Bailee Beiswenger, Taylor Beiswenger, Kyle Beiswenger, Keaton Mack, Karter Mack, Kole Mack, Mason Kamlitz and Hunter Kamlitz.

Darold had a special place in his heart for many including, Kaydense Hewitt.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Kracht.

Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Monday, August 1, 2011 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Rich Fitzer officiating.

No visitation is scheduled.
