Jamestown’s Laura Kraft finished her third round of the 36th Junior PGA Championship with her best score of the tournament. However, the Jamestown High School graduate missed the cut after posting a three-day total of 247.

Kraft, who was the lone North Dakota golfer in the field, missed the cut by 13 strokes with the top 30 and ties advancing to the final day at the Sycamore Hills Golf Club in Fort Wayne, Ind. Ariya Jutanugara, of Thialand, shot a 6-under 66 on Thursday to give her a 10 stroke lead after 54 holes.

The Missouri-bound golfer carded a 78 on Thursday after recording one birdie and seven bogeys, but her opening two rounds of 86 and 83, respectively, made it a tough task for the three-time North Dakota state champion to make the cut.

Kraft qualified for the prestigious tournament after winning the Minnesota Junior PGA Championship earlier this summer in Marshall, Minn.
