In celebration of Sister Michaeleen’s 25th anniversary at St. James Basilica, the public is invited to take a bus trip on Aug. 17 to Sister Michaeleen’s Mother of God Monastery in Watertown, S.D. A 51-passenger motor coach bus will be used and the cost will be $25 per person. The bus would leave between 6:30 and 7 a.m. and arrive back in Jamestown that evening.

Those taking the trip will eat lunch with the sisters and have a tour of the monastery. The sisters will provide a sack lunch for the return trip. The monastery is handicap accessible and there will not be a lot of walking or use of steps on the tour. Those who would like to go on the tour are asked to RSVP by Aug. 10 by calling the parish office at 252-0119.
