ND sets small game, furbearer hunting seasons
North Dakota has set its small game and furbearer seasons, with most structures and bag limits similar to last year.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota has set its small game and furbearer seasons, with most structures and bag limits similar to last year.
The Game and Fish Department says the only significant changes involve the early Canada goose and mountain lion seasons, and an introduction of an experimental fisher trapping season.
The early Canada goose season opens Aug. 13, with a daily limit of eight and a possession limit of 16.
The Zone 1 mountain lion season has a season quota of 14 lions, split into an early and late season.
Early season is Sept. 2 through Nov. 20 or until a quota of 10 is filled. Late season runs Nov. 21 through March 31 or until four lions are taken.
Zone 2's season runs Sept. 2 through March 31 without a quota.
