BELCOURT, N.D. (AP) — The Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa this month held a ground-breaking for a new $30 million casino.
The old casino, which Tribal Chairman Merle St. Claire said is basically a metal building, will be turned into a steakhouse and convention hall. The project is to include a 100-room hotel and a park for recreational vehicles. The number of slot machines is to be increased from 563 to 757.
A bingo hall about a mile away from the current Skydancer Casino also will be moved to the site.
