Kraft fares well, places second in driving contest

Kraft, who won three straight Class A state golf meets in her final three seasons for Jamestown High School, shot rounds of 76-81-73-76 for a total of 306 — the eighth-best score of the 67 American players in the field.
The University of Missouri recruit had two birdies in the opening round, three in the second, two in the third an another in the fourth. Her third-round 73 was just one stroke over par.
The tournament also featured a long drive contest and the heavy-hitting Kraft finished second among all girls in the event.
