Carroll ranked 1st in preseason NAIA poll
Carroll College is ranked first in the NAIA preseason coaches’ poll for the sixth time since 2003. The defending national champion Saints received all 14 votes in the Top 25 poll.

St. Xavier of Illinois is ranked second, followed by MidAmerica Nazarene and Saint Francis of Indiana. Dickinson State, a team Carroll plays on Oct. 8, is ranked seventh.
No other Frontier Conference teams are ranked in the Top 25, but Rocky Mountain and Montana Tech did receive some votes.
Jamestown College received a vote in the poll. The Jimmies opened camp on Sunday. They open the season Aug. 27 against South Dakota Mines in Rapid City, S.D. Their first home game is Sept. 10 against Wisconsin-Stout.
Valley City State also got one vote.
