ND doctor accused of drugging woman in his home
A Fargo doctor is facing felony charges for allegedly drugging a woman in his home and having sex with her.
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A Fargo doctor is facing felony charges for allegedly drugging a woman in his home and having sex with her.
Jon Norberg is charged in Cass County Court with gross sexual imposition and reckless endangerment. The complaint accuses Norberg of injecting the woman with the anesthetic propofol.
Authorities say the victim was unconscious and the use of the drug created a substantial risk of death.
Norberg could not be reached for comment.
Norberg is an orthopedic surgeon at Sanford Medical. Sanford officials say the allegations pre-date his employment with the health care organization and the complaint does not involve issues about his treatment of patients.
KFGO radio reports that Norberg is on a voluntary leave of absence. He has not been arrested.
