Cumber, Heiser in third in walleye circuit
Jamestown’s Ken Cumber and his teammate Corey Heiser of West Fargo are currently in third place on the Masters Walleye Circuit with only one event remaining.
Jamestown’s Ken Cumber and his teammate Corey Heiser of West Fargo are currently in third place on the Masters Walleye Circuit with only one event remaining.
Cumber and Heiser have a total of 176.58 points. They trail only David Harmon of Omaha and Scott Bustweed of Windsor, Colo., (216.14) and Spencer and Ron Deutz of Fargo (193.66).
Cumber and Heiser have the seventh-best total at Lake Oahe and 17th-best at Devils Lake.
Harmon and Busteed have the top spot all but sewed up, winning the first two spots on the tour, which had never been done.
Eric and Bill Hanson of Lisbon are currently in 10t place with a total of 135.23 points.
The final stop in the tour is Sept. 16-17 on Cass Lake near Bemidji, Minn.
Registrations are still being accepted for the event. A $100 late fee will be charged if registrations are not received before Sept. 11.
