Racing returns tonight, Late Models here

Racing resumes tonight at 7 p.m. at the Jamestown Speedway after everyone got a week off to take a break.

The Northern Late Model Racing Association headlines the show, making their second stop of the summer in Jamestown. Winnipeg’s Mike Balcaen won the feature the first time the Late Models were in town on June 25.

All five classes also are in action tonight, with just two more weeks before the Season Championships are held Aug. 27.

The closest race for the season points titles is in the Midwest Mods where Randy Tarno leads John Corell, 381-361.

Jeff Vogel (Bombers), Steven Nicholson (Hornets), Rusty Kollman (Midwest Mods) and Troy Nelson (Street Stocks) each lead by 18 points or more.
