Airports receive federal grants

Sens. Kent Conrad, D-N.D., and John Hoeven and Rep. Rick Berg, both R-N.D., announced Tuesday that the Federal Aviation Administration has issued more than $1.9 million in federal grants to 10 airports in North Dakota for construction and maintenance.

The delegation noted that these funds will go to rehabilitate runways, improve safety and prepare airports for the coming winter.

Area airports benefiting from the FAA grants include: Cooperstown Municipal Airport, $97,000; Harvey Municipal Airport, $224,400; and Lisbon Municipal Airport, $120,000.
