Minot cleanup day scheduled
United Methodist Women have announced the following events. The Sakakawea District is sponsoring a cleanup day in Minot on Saturday. Those who would like to go will be meeting at the St. Paul’s United Methodist church at 7 a.m. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board for those who would like to go.

United Methodist Women will deliver Meals on Wheels on Saturday and Sunday. Meals need to be picked up at the James River Senior and Community Center at 11 a.m. The group needs to let them know on Friday who will be delivering. Call the church to sign up.
Jewel of a Woman in Mission and Special Mission Recognition names of UMW have to be turned in to the committee by Sept. 30.
The State Hospital birthday party is at 2 p.m. Tuesday. UMW will provide ice cream and cake.
Christmas shoe boxes will be wrapped for the Spirit Lake Nation Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church. Items for children and teens can also be brought to be wrapped. Help will be appreciated. Bring scissors.
Several members will be helping with the College Community Block Party downtown, from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. St. Paul’s will be serving knoephla soup.
On Aug. 28, following the worship service, there will be an all-church picnic at McElroy Park. All food, plates and utensils will be furnished. The picnic is sponsored by the United Methodist Men.
