Bismarck man accused of child abuse

Bond has been set at $2,000 for a Bismarck man accused of kicking and slapping a 10-year-old girl.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Bond has been set at $2,000 for a Bismarck man accused of kicking and slapping a 10-year-old girl.

The Bismarck Tribune reports that 33-year-old Russell W. Baker was charged Friday with Class C felony counts of child abuse or neglect and terrorizing.

Police say the girl's mother reported Baker had kicked the girl in the leg, leaving a minor bruise, and slapped her across the face on Thursday afternoon. She reported Baker also made threats regarding what would happen if they took the information to the police.
