LINWOOD, N.J. — A New Jersey high school football coach who lost four of his players in a deadly car crash Saturday says that that three players who survived the crash are home from the hospital.

Mainland Regional High School Coach Bob Coffey says the fourth injured player, Jacob Smith, was due home soon.

The eight players were in a one-car crash on the Garden State Parkway on Saturday as they headed out to eat after a practice.

All eight players were in one SUV, a possible violation of state law.

The rest of the team and others were planning to gather for a vigil Sunday night.
