ND truck inspections nets $42K in fines
Officials say inspections of trucks in North Dakota's oil patch resulted in $42,000 in fines.
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Officials say inspections of trucks in North Dakota's oil patch resulted in $42,000 in fines.
KFGO radio reports that the North Dakota Highway Patrol and the federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration held the surprise inspections last week.
Patrol Sgt. Mitch Rumple says 224 safety inspections were done. He says 57 trucks and five drivers had violations that took them off the roads.
