Edgeley National Guard Armory receives smoke damage
A kitchen fire at the Edgeley National Guard Armory on Aug. 18 caused smoke damage to the facility, according to Joe Neis, Edgeley city administrator. The building is owned by the city.
A kitchen fire at the Edgeley National Guard Armory on Aug. 18 caused smoke damage to the facility, according to Joe Neis, Edgeley city administrator. The building is owned by the city.
“Not a lot of damage,” he said. “Some material left on a stove ignited. It’s mostly smoke cleanup and we have ServiceMaster coming in.”
Neis estimated the damage at between $2,500 and $10,000.
Neis said the armory had been rented for a private function Thursday evening when the fire occurred. One individual and one firefighter reported minor burns during the incident.
