Corps awards $13M contract for Minot housing

The Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a $13 million contract to a North Carolina firm for another temporary housing site in Minot.

MINOT, N.D. (AP) — The Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a $13 million contract to a North Carolina firm for another temporary housing site in Minot.

The city is recovering from record Souris River flooding this summer that temporarily forced about 11,000 people from their homes and damaged about 4,100 houses.

The housing site that will be developed by Byrd Brothers Emergency Services of Wilson, N.C., will accommodate 400 manufactured housing units.
