BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has activated North Dakota's Harvest Hotline.
The free service matches custom combiners with farmers in need of their services. Goehring says it was created in 1992 especially for seasons like this one in which the harvest is spotty because of a spring planting season delayed by wet weather. He says that puts more pressure on both producers and combiners.
The hotline at 701-328-4997 is staffed weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Callers may leave a message evenings and weekends.
