Berg to visit Standing Rock Sioux Tribe

FORT YATES, N.D. (AP) — Congressman Rick Berg is meeting with tribal leaders from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe as well as local, state and federal leaders on Saturday to learn more about tribal programs and the needs of the tribe.
The meetings in Fort Yates are a part of a week-long congressional trip coordinated by the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies to meet with tribal governments in Oklahoma, South Dakota and North Dakota.
The Republican Representative will be joined by other members of the Subcommittee, including Reps. Michael K. Simpson from Idaho, Tom Cole from Oklahoma and Betty McCollum from Minnesota.
