BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Officials say nearly 10,000 people affected by flooding in North Dakota have registered with the Federal Emergency Management Agency for disaster assistance.
Individuals and businesses in Barnes, Benson, Burleigh, McHenry, Morton, Ramsey, Renville, Richland and Ward counties, and the Spirit Lake Nation may apply for disaster aid by Sept. 22. People can register for assistance by calling 800-621-3362 or online at disasterassistance.gov.
Officials report that 9,785 individuals had registered with FEMA as of Thursday.
More than $289 million in federal and state aid is going to help with flooding relief.
