Workshop planned on ND's newest noxious weed

LANGDON, N.D. (AP) — Officials have scheduled a free workshop in Langdon this week to educate weed control officials and land managers about North Dakota's newest noxious weed.

Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring says yellow toadflax is spreading quickly in North Dakota. It was added to the state's list of noxious weeds last year. Noxious weeds are those that are required by law to be controlled.

Wednesday's workshop at the North Dakota State University Langdon Research Extension Center is sponsored by the state Agriculture Department and the Cavalier County Weed Board.
